Ralph Linsalata
CEO Prior to becoming CEO of GestureTek Inc., Ralph was the CEO of Weston Corporate Development, Inc., a strategic and management consulting company that has performed a wide range of consulting projects with venture-backed companies. Prior experience includes: Senior Vice President, Corporate Planning & Development at Novell; Executive Vice President responsible for Cambridge Technology Capital Fund I L. P. and NEWCO Investments; General Partner of Weiss, Peck and Greer Venture Partners, L.P.; VP of General Electric's venture capital subsidiary; investment banker with Laird, Inc.; Sr. VP of Hill, Holliday; Managing Director of Hill, Holliday Interactive Group; CEO of Lexidata Corporation, Silc Technologies, and Envoy Systems Corporation; CFO of Applicon Incorporated, and sales and finance positions with IBM. Ralph has a BSEE from Case Institute of Technology, an MBA from Harvard University, and did post-graduate work at New York University. Vincent John Vincent President & Co-Founder, GestureTek & Gesturetek Health Vincent John Vincent is the co-founder of GestureTek and has been the creative force behind the company and its technological innovations for the past 15 years. Vincent's unique insight and creativity has been instrumental in defining and developing the video gesture recognition and control industry. In addition to commercially marketing the company’s technology, Vincent is responsible for day-to-day operations and sales and marketing for the business. Vincent leads the company's activities in ongoing market identification, product development in multiple vertical markets, and worldwide installation of GestureTek systems. Vincent has personally overseen the creation of well over 400 GestureXtreme virtual experience applications for games, corporate events, TV productions, education, and virtual therapy uses. Vincent is recognized as a leader in the world of multimedia, having represented the industry and delivered keynote addresses at countless industry conferences worldwide. Vincent is a co-creator and past Executive Producer of The International Digital Media Awards. He is on the advisory board for the Toronto Design Exchange VR Visualization Center, and the Art Institute of Toronto. In 2003, Vincent was honored by the Canadian Digital Media Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Vincent has a degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. Francis MacDougall CTO & Co-Founder Francis MacDougall co-founded GestureTek in 1986 and drives the technology strategy of the company, leading the R&D and production teams as well as all patenting and licensing activities. Francis developed and patented the company’s core single camera gesture control technologies and led the creation of the application development engine, tracking engines, and numerous other capabilities that form the base of GestureTek’s product offerings. Francis is a specialist in real-time system design and has experience spanning low level embedded architectures incorporating ASIC and DSP solutions, communication systems design, network audio/video transport, image processing and computer vision, as well as high level implementations under consumer and commercial architectures. Francis is a creative force in technology and product development and excels at finding the rapid path to creating marketable solutions for next generation user requirements. Gary Nobrega VP, Finance & Operations Gary began his association with GestureTek in mid-2004 in a part time lead financial role, and now has full time responsibility for the company’s financial, operations, and administrative activities. A chartered accountant, he began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1983, subsequently moving into the business side with Clarkson Gordon, then in 1987 to Metro Financial Group as Vice President of Operations for this provider of real estate products. In 1993 Gary began an independent position as CFO for multiple clients, responsible for all varieties of financial, HR, operations, and administrative functions. Gary holds an Honors degree from Queens University and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. YOSHITARO KUMAGAI Yoshi joined the company in the fall of 2004, after a distinguished career in leading businesses with strong Asian/North American connections. Since 1981, he has held positions with Singer, the Imaging Division of Mead Corporation, and IDEC Corporation, where he was responsible for Japanese and US sales and operations. Subsequently, he served as President of DPA Technology and as Chairman and CEO of Vivitar Corporation, a major distributor of various camera and computer peripheral devices. His most recent position was as SVP/Business Development for Reactrix, a company developing an early stage media platform enabling real-time interaction between humans and video advertising displays. Yoshi holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Hosei University and a BS in Information Systems and Mathematics from Georgia State University. |
