ScreenXtreme Immersive Gesture Control Window Advertising Technology and The CUBE Portable Interactive Floor Sell Bank Products in Venezuela.

GestoTek has been a driving force in traditional and out of home advertising, along with retail point of sale, for more than 40 years, so they’re in tune with what consumers want. Today, as GestureTek’s strategic dealer in Venezuela, GestoTek is introducing interactive gesture control technology to marketing decision-makers in this country.

Recently, GestoTek utilized three different GestureTek technologies to create a head-turning interactive advertising display for financial client Corpbanca that cuts above the clutter of traditional advertising and helps promote the bank’s American Express card.  The display was installed in a high-traffic mall in Caracas.

As a first step, GestoTek installed GestureTek’s dynamic ScreenFX interactive window display system using out-of-the-box content from GestureTek. Hardware included a colour camera, GestureTek’s patented video gesture control tracking software and a 10,000 lumens Sanyo projector.  Content leveraged GestureTek’s all-included library of special effects, as well as dynamic, constantly changing images of the American Express card.

The display also incorporated GestureTek’s ScreenXtreme system, an advanced immersive technology that actually inserts people’s real-time video image into the digital sign as they walk by, thereby making the advertisement even more personal and engaging for passers-by.

To add further visual-appeal and bring the digital advertisement to life in the real-world, GestoTek constructed a structure to hold bank forms, and also to hold the projector for the display.  Although the projector can be attached to the ceiling, keeping it on the ground gives the bank the flexibility to move the display from location to location, should it choose to do so.  This ‘bricks and mortar’ exhibit brought even more attention to the onscreen advertisement.

“Bank representatives were so impressed with this motion-responsive technology for advertising that they immediately began thinking of other ways that they could use it for marketing and promotion,” said Edvin Yrausquin, GestoTek’s marketing and business development director.

Corpbanca decided to install a CUBE interactive advertising floor in their bank branch in Maracaibo.  GestoTek conducted the installation, and the display system is currently being used to showcase advertising content to support the bank’s marketing initiatives.

“The response to this interactive experience has been positive, especially among children and teenagers, who are naturally drawn to the display and immediately interact with it,” says Luis Gallegos, Director at GestoTek.

“We hope to expand this project to more locations in Corpbanca’s network of over 350 branches.  We also hope that this installation inspire other banks to use similar interactive technology as part of their advertising and promotion efforts,” says Gallegos.
