GestureTek's leading-edge "point-to-control" technology GestTrack™ has many applications because of its versatile nature. The Tradeshow Management Company PICO approached GestureTek to develop for their client, Chevron . The users were able to engage in an "oil rig construction" game where they could stand from a distance and move the objects around to play the game. The Interactive Display also presented itself as an Information Kiosk to educate and inform the tradeshow attendees and visitors about their client's company.
The reasons for using an Interactive Large Screen in the tradeshow setting are twofold. The large screen allows the users to view the complete application in a more life-like form, which enhances the interactive experience, and also the large screen attracts greater attention to the exhibiting company's display. In 2004, an Offshore Oil Tradeshow was held in Bahrain in the Middle East where visitors experienced first hand the GestTrack™ technology. GestureTek supplied PICO with both the interactive content and the HoloTrack Frames providing patented "touchless" interactive technology that created a stimulating and entertaining experience for all.
