WallFX interactive wall lends high tech flair to The NAFEM Show April, 2009 – The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) chose GestureTek’s WallFX interactive gesture controlled wall display system to help showcase 80 new product innovations on display in its What’s Hot! What’s Cool! (WHWC) new product gallery. NAFEM was searching for display ideas to create a compelling feel and interactive component to its WHWC new product gallery, launched this year at its biennial trade show, The NAFEM Show. WHWC, a dedicated area on the show floor, was a museum-style display of some of today’s most innovative products in the foodservice industry. Custom interactive special effects on the wall, ranging from flip tiles, to popping bubbles, to fireworks, utilized product images as well as appealing applications of the new product gallery’s ‘What’s Hot! What’s Cool! logo (a clever play on words to tie the gallery name to the use of hot and cold in foodservice applications. The patented Wall FX system from GestureTek has revolutionized promotion, advertising and entertainment in trade show and exhibit spaces. This digital wall technology projects eye-catching interactive visual content onto walls. GestureTek’s video gesture control system and camera technology together allow users to participate in a full body interactive experience where special effects, images, logos, advertising messages or games can be controlled using nothing but simple hand and body motions. “The What’s Hot! What’s Cool! new product gallery was a successful addition to The NAFEM Show,” says Buffy Levy, Director, Shows for NAFEM. “We may further build the profile and appeal of the new product gallery at our next show by placing it even closer to the convention entrance, widening the surrounding aisles, using more signage to direct people to initiate the interactive technology on display, and utilizing even more ‘killer applications’ to entertain and engage visitors”. |
