Great Lakes Children's Museum

GestureTek's Interactive Technology Helps Brings Watershed Concept To Life at the Great Lakes Children's Museum.

GestureTek's 'GestureFX' video display technology plays an key role in powering the breakthrough 'Listening To The River' (LLTR) interactive experience at the Great Lakes Children's Museum.  Listening To The River is a creative blend of immersive themed attraction design and children's museum science-based content, conceptualized and built by renowned attraction developer Matthew Martin DesignWorks, along with a team of fabricators, sound producers and programmers.

The 1500 square foot exhibit with a 3D soundscape succeeds in engaging and entertaining museum visitors of all ages about the local Grand Traverse Bay Watershed.  GestureTek's phenomenal interactive video display system is one of the first exhibit elements that visitors encounter.

"The entire LLTR project is unique in its use of informal science education that creates educational and entertainment opportunities for children, youth and adults alike.  Thanks in part to GestureTek's gesture-controlled interactive display technology, Great Lakes Children's Museum has been able to leverage cutting edge interactive technology to tell a story, communicate the concept of a watershed in an engaging and entertaining way and create a museum exhibit experience that merges the virtual with the real," said Matthew Martin, head of Matthew Martin DesignWorks.
