GestureTek Transforms Retail Customer Experience in LG, Telefónica, Clearwire, Old Navy and other stores

Retailers like Sprint, LG Electronics in Mexico, LG Electronics in Europe, Hugo Boss, Clearwire, Old Navy, Sony, Cingular AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile Stores, Sears, Target Stores, Samsung, Children's Place, Virgin Megastores, Telefónica, Hudson's Bay Company and Bikini Village have all turned to GestureTek's interactive retail display technology. Whether it's digital playgrounds, immersive advertising windows, 3D tracking interactive digital signage, multi-touch interfaces or point-to-control systems for delivering product information, stores and malls are putting a marketing face on GestureTek's best-in-class technologies that have traditionally been used to educate and entertain in museums and science centers.

Apparel retailer Old Navy installed over 200 of GestureTek's Cube portable, turnkey plug and play interactive floor display systems in their newly remodelled stores. An early pilot suggested better results in Old Navy stores that had been retrofitted with a Cube. The Cube safely and constructively entertains kids so mothers have more time to shop thoughtfully. Enhancing the in-store ‘fun factor’ and driving greater levels of brand loyalty are key priorities. The Old Navy Annual Report states that the company is investing in new initiatives that will help drive traffic, deliver inspiring product and enhance the shopping experience. The Cube suits Old Navy's digital playground requirements because it is cost-effective, easy to install and maintain and requires no field visits. GestureTek's patents, reputation, technical support and willingness to support the retailer's content needs are also important.

Telecom retailer Clearwire engaged GestureTek to install futuristic custom interactive touchscreen kiosks with wide 44" screens to display interactive multi-media product information. These head-turning point-to-control kiosk displays feature 7000 lumens projectors to make visuals extremely bright. Bringing Clearwire's interactive kiosk solution to market in its network of over 30 flagship stores across the United States was a mammoth project management undertaking, requiring the teamwork of GestureTek, Interbrand Design Forum, IDX, SCI, Dunakilly, Maus Group, NPM, Secret Weapon, Sonic Media, and various Clearwire teams, including in-store merchandising, real estate, information technology, creative and accounting.

Consumer appliance retailer LG Electronics leveraged GestureTek's Cube portable interactive floor projection display system and ScreenXtreme immersive virtual reality display systems to market washing machines and flat screen televisions in several store chains throughout Mexico, including Sears, Liverpool and Palacio de Hierro department stores. The ScreenXtreme immersive display system placed players' real-time dynamic video images into the onscreen action. One game was based on GestureTek's virtual soccer game. Another game pitted consumers against the computer in a soccer skills drill.

  • My kids loved playing on the Cube portable interactive floor while at Old Navy.

  • These are amazing tools that your company has created...so many new and wonderful opportunities especially for those with special needs and autistic children. We saw your Cube at the Old Navy store. My high-functioning autistic son interacted with his brother without a fight. I could have stayed there all day just watching them play. I hope that your company takes the world by storm and that everyone sees what I see. I believed in your company so much that I would change careers to work with these products. They are just amazing. I see so much potential with your company.
