Breakthrough Digital Signage Sees, Reacts and Stops Customers in Their Tracks!

Feb 21 2007

SUNNYVALE - CALIFORNIA - February 21, 2007 - GestureTek, world leaders in computer vision for gesture-based interactivity is excited to announce ScreenFX, their latest breakthrough in interactive display technology.

GestureTek's ScreenFX displays utilize a patented, camera-based system that actually looks out at the surrounding area and reacts directly to movement. Customers can't ignore digital signage that tracks their movement and creatively responds with dazzling effects. As people pass by the dynamic and engaging ScreenFX display, they instantly notice their movement magically creating stunning changes to the graphical content. For example, the sweep of an arm erases an existing image to reveal a new one. Simple body movement evokes powerful image changes in an array of stunning visual effects that are overlaid upon any advertising or branded message.

GestureTek's ScreenFX content can be simple or complex: from an easy transition, one brand image to another, to sophisticated multi-layered animations moving and manipulated in a controlled, repeatable fashion. The dynamic creative applications can magically wipe away one image to reveal another or flip tiny tiles to expose multiple images as the user passes by the display. Watch in amazement as a user motions away mist from an image or creates ripples on a digital liquid surface. Imagine witnessing hundreds of tiny images of a branded logo attract to users' movements, literally following them wherever they motion in front of ScreenFX.

GestureTek CEO, Bill Leckonby, enthusiastically reports that: "The power of ScreenFX is that it stops customers in their tracks. It's a fun and informative way to engage viewers in brand advertising directly through interaction or by simply watching the display effects created by other users. Not only do people stop to interact with the effects because it is so engaging and entertaining to play with, often crowds will gather because it is so enjoyable to watch others play with the stunning effects."

GestureTek's ScreenFX is the absolute perfect interactive digital signage for multiple public venues. Whether in a mall, sports arena, airport, retail location or trade show, ScreenFX is incredibly easy to install. The display systems vary in size, ranging from 42" to 103" flat screens which can be free-standing or wall-mounted. The system can also be integrated into video projection of any size.
