GestureTek Announces MultiTouch Enhancements at InfoComm

Jun 17 2008

Company improves on its industry leading technology for multi touch systems

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, June 17, 2008 – GestureTek Inc., inventor and world leader in gesture-driven user interfaces for presentation and entertainment systems, will showcase its recently enhanced multi-touch surface computing solution at InfoComm International 2008.  Attendees are invited to visit GestureTek at the Las Vegas Convention Center in booth N7057, from June 18th to June 20th.

GestureTek’s multi-touch solution now better than ever

GestureTek’s award-winning interactive multi-touch surface computing technology has been delivered on many types of display surfaces in various shapes and sizes, giving ‘Minority Report-style’ computer interactivity to tables, bar tops, counters and panels.  With multi-touch displays, users simply point their fingers immediately above (or directly on) the surface, then make rotating or dragging motions to control dynamic multi-media content, access product information, view advertising, play games, create special effects or manipulate images.

Significant enhancements to GestureTek’s multi-touch technology have recently been deployed:

  • GestureTek can now deliver its incredibly popular multi-touch technology on new and different surfaces, including multi-touch retail windows, multi-touch walls, multi-touch floors, freestanding floor-to-ceiling screens and other vertical surfaces.

  • The Illuminate Multi-Touch Table now comes with GestureTek’s full library of more than 70 eye-catching ‘GestureFX’ special effects for audio-visual and animation.  This gives organizations more options than ever in selecting multi-media to support their campaign or presentation.
  • Along with custom multi-touch solutions, GestureTek now offers its turnkey multi-touch table in a choice of screen sizes, including 52” and 60”.  Larger and smaller units can still be custom ordered.

  • The system has been made more flexible and robust, with hardware configured for even greater performance in varying ambient lighting conditions.  These upgrades will appeal to customers operating in bright lighting environments or to those who plan to install the display with only minimal technical support from GestureTek.

“Our recent multi-touch enhancements further strengthen GestureTek’s key advantage over other multi-touch providers,” says GestureTek’s President and Co-Founder Vincent John Vincent.  “GestureTek is unmatched in its ability to deliver flexible multi-touch solutions that can meet any client requirement and handle a variety of lighting environments.”
