GestureTek Displays New 3D Tracking and Interactive Projection Technologies for Trade Shows, Exhibits and Events

Mar 23 2009

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, Mar 23, 2009 – GestureTek, the pioneer, world-leader and patent holder in gesture control interactive technology, will showcase its latest innovations for state of the art interactive trade show displays at the Exhibitor Show from March 23 to 25 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Booth 803. Among the showcased products is The Cube™, GestureTek’s turnkey, ‘plug and play’ interactive floor projection system that brings motion based interactivity to any traveling exhibit or display. Also featured will be GestureTek’s 3D depth sensing tracking and control system, AirPoint™ hand tracking unit for mouse replacement, and ScreenXtreme® immersive technology that puts a user’s dynamic video image onto the display screen.

‘The Cube’ Turnkey, Plug N Play Interactive Projection System
The Cube is a compact, turnkey, 'plug and play' interactive floor projection system especially for special events and trade shows. Completely portable, the Cube projects interactive information, special effects, games and advertising onto a 5’ x 4’ diagonal interactive floor display. The Cube is cost efficient because no technician is required for set up and there’s no need to hang the hardware from the ceiling. Just turn it on, place it on the floor and it runs automatically. 3D Depth Sensing System Tracks Hand & Body Movement
GestureTek’s 3D tracking and control system brings a new level of interactivity to motion controlled trade show displays and exhibits. A 3D depth sensing camera tracks full-body movement or subtle hand gestures, providing a gestural interface for an interactive display screen. The system recognizes any pose or gesture, replacing button presses, touch screens or joysticks. Other applications include full-body avatar control, two-handed control and hand tracking for 360º navigation control, making it the perfect tool for engaging and entertaining trade show booth and exhibit visitors.

GestureTek has created countless 3D and 2D interactive experiences on interactive displays, computers, consoles and even mobile devices. At the Beijing Olympics, GestureTek’s 3D hand tracking technology powered an interactive 3D flight simulator where an airplane was controlled by 3D hand movements. ScreenXtreme Immersive Digital Sign Software
GestureTek’s ScreenXtreme immersive, interactive screen technology uses cameras and body tracking software to capture a person’s dynamic real-time digital image on a display screen or digital sign. The user sees their dynamic video image live onscreen and moves their hands and body to control interactive content.

“ScreenXtreme attracts consumers to an exhibit and keeps them engaged for longer,” says GestureTek’s President Vincent John Vincent.

AirPoint Hand Tracker for Mouse Replacement GestureTek’s portable AirPoint ‘point to control’ hand tracking technology is always a show stopper for trade show and event professionals. This ‘point to click’ interface for interactive menu-based information presentations gives trade show visitors touch-free, point-based navigation control, regardless of their distance from the display screen. It’s a fun and convenient alternative to a mouse or a keyboard. More on AirPoint at http://www.gesturetek.com/gestpoint/productsolutions_airpoint.php
