GestTrack
window checklist
In order for the GestTrack™ Indoor Through Window system to work effectively at your location, consider the following issues. If you answer "no" to any of the following questions, please note it and contact GestureTek's Customer Support to find a solution to make the GestTrack™ Indoor Through Window system work for you.
Is your window...?
- In a high visability and high foot traffic area? This maximizes the return on the investment.
- Positioned so as not to block through traffic when an audience is present?
- In a safe area that encourages people to stop and browse the window?
- At least 9 feet from ground to the top of the glass? There are advantages to having the GestTrack outside mirrors up high; out of sight and out of reach.
- In a location that does not receive direct sunlight at any time during the day on any day of the year, either to the window, or the window frame? Sunlight reflected off nearby glass buildings and signs onto the window may also pose a problem.
- In a city zoning region that allows for video cameras to be monitoring traffic outside the window?
- In a city zoning region that allows for electric signs to be mounted against the store window?
- In a city zoning region that allows for electric signs to be mounted at a distance of less than 3 feet from the inside of a store store window?
- At least 1 foot wider than your display monitor?
- Surrounded by an external border, or "frame" that is at least 1" on the outside of the window? We may require an extension be added to your window frame to accommodate a larger border, but 1" should be enough to attach it to.
- Near to internet access for the display computer?
- Near to electrical outlets inside the window?
- Near to a secure location to house the computer (less than 50 feet)?
We can work around many issues as long as we know about them in advance.
We look forward to working with you installing a successful GestTrack™ Indoor Through Window interactive window display.
