GestureTek announced today the Toronto unveiling of its TableFX system at Alice Fazoolis Lounge

Nov 29 2006

Toronto, ONT – November 29, 2006 –GestureTek Inc., the world leader in computer vision gesture-based control for information and entertainment systems displays, announced today the Toronto unveiling of its TableFX system at Alice Fazooli’s Lounge in the Entertainment District.

This innovative entertainment system is a revolution in public space advertising and entertainment. An adaptation of GestureTek’s very successful GroundFX system, TableFX projects dynamic visual content onto virtually any table, creating a gesture-controlled interactive experience, literally allowing users to control visual effects, games, or ads with hand motions: A black-and-white image of a woman's puckered lips is magically transformed to brilliant red with the wave of a hand. Set a cocktail glass on the table and witness swarms of blue and orange fish swim and scurry towards your glass. Touch the table to send a ripple through virtual water.

Not only does TableFX™ provide patrons of Alice Fazooli’s with an interactive conversation piece that is both engaging and fun, it also delivers value-added programming and entertainment. As an innovative medium it gives promoters and advertisers a creative and effective way to communicate with their customers.

“TableFX™ is a unique product in the restaurant, bar & lounge scene. It offers an interactive and engaging experience suitable for a diverse range of consumers. Alice Fazooli’s is sure to set a trend with the adoption of these interactive tables,” says Vincent John Vincent, President of GestureTek Inc.

TableFX™ content can be as simple or complex as any multimedia experience. It can function as eye-candy, display messages, or promote a brand. GestureTek has developed a diverse library of effects that can also be integrated and personalized with corporate branding and interactive advertising, having created over 50 custom applications for various clients. This innovative advertising experience transforms how consumers respond to brand building in public spaces. TableFX™ is a fun and informative way to engage brand advertising both for those who directly interact with the system and those who observe the interaction.

InTouch Media Group is Canada's premiere integrator of gesture controlled advertising systems. Target markets include mall venues, retail, sports complexes, corporate events, trade shows, and other public spaces. GestureTek interactive technologies deliver extended brand play, put the consumers at the controls and promote brand interaction on tables, floors and walls.

“After speaking with many patrons and staff at Alice Fazooli’s lounge, we have heard a resounding round of applause about the interactive TableFX,” said David Leetham, Director, Sales & Marketing of InTouch Media Group.

InTouch Media Group not only provides the TableFX™ system, but works with clients to prepare the creative content and apply interactive overlays. The systems are enhanced with a directional speaker for sound integration, plus a webcam that allows advertisers to view the consumer interaction of their brand 24/7. Once the systems are installed in a public venue, InTouch Media Group promotes the sale of interactive ads through a vast network of associates. TableFX™ systems are currently available to rent out to groups wanting to add this experience to their night out.

“This a very exciting time for our company” says David Leetham, “as we are just breaking the surface of interactive ads in the out-of-home market. Forward-thinking companies who are not satisfied to use the same advertising medium as last year will benefit by being the leading adopters of this new interactive advertising technology.”
